I'm relatively new to discovering this part of the world for driving. Of course I was familiar with the Evo Triangle. Actually the roads around Bala are rather lovely and quiet. I organised a trip of 9 passes. Hellfire, Black Mountain, Abergwesyn, Devils Staircase, Elan Valley etc. The B4391 and B4407 were my favourites and these roads used by test driver of C to E Type Jaqs Norman Dewis. A recent review of a manual GT3 shows off the roads rather nicely.
