There are a lot of fabulous roads in Scotland. I'm going to feature two of my favourites. North Coast 500 (COTY 2015 with GT4 the winner) and The Old Military Road with rather lovely Aston Martin. Evo Magazine are the experts on video's on these two roads so they are the ones of many possible that I'm going to feature.
I have recently added in a video that shows off the Isle of Skye, as this was the venue chosen by Porsche to show case the new 718T. The ferry crossing on the MV Glenachulish is the world’s last surviving turntable summer-time ferry dating from 1969 that goes from Glenelg to Kylerhea. Quiraing Pass (similar to Applecross Pass) and the Moll road U4853 are featured heavily in the promo video.
I also feature a 918 Spyder doing its stuff on A87 again on th Isle of Skye. Base for the drive is the Duisdale House Hotel part of the Sonas Collection which includes Torvaig and Skeabost (own 9 hole golf course) on the Isle.
I’ve now added in a five minute video of NW Scotland which has around 90,000 hits on it and shows off the roads rather well.
At the bottom of the page hit the link button to find our diary of our trip around NC500 in May 2016.
I’ve just come across the Devils Elbow. Sadly this old military road is now by-passed but their bits you can still see and drive….slowly. I have added a Button to access the file from a BBC program that explains.
